API announces new Materials Management organization

MEMPHIS, Tenn., July 17, 2006 - Aerospace Products International, Inc. (“API”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of First Aviation Services, Inc. (Nasdaq: FAVS) and a leading provider of innovative distribution and supply chain services for the aviation industry, announces the creation of it's Materials Management organization.
API’s new Materials Management group underscores API’s commitment to the implementation of state of the art business process. The group will develop strong, professional business relationships with suppliers. Using leading technologies, including the recent implementation of SAP, API will be able to seamlessly connect suppliers to end users. Additionally, API’s ESPSM tool, a web-based inventory management and procurement system, allows API’ s suppliers to track demand throughout the entire supply chain and provide global visibility to point-of-consumption demand.
The group is managed by Bobbie Espitia, recently appointed Vice President of Materials Management. Bobbie joined API in 2001 in Finance and most recently served as Vice President-Controller. Prior to API, Bobbie was Corporate Controller of APS, Inc, an aftermarket distributor of automotive parts.
